Difference Between Intuitive and Psychic
In reality, we are only suppose to share experiences and that is all. On earth we deal with the illusion that we are separate from each other. That creates the need to verify whether we see experiences the same.
For example, If you and I see a UFO and we are both shocked, I can tell that we shared an experience by the look in your eyes. I can discern from your expression that we just saw it at the same time. That is intuition - exchanging information from the same perspective without the need to confirm it.
The illusion that we are separate makes me want to be sure that we did share that odd experience. After all, you were standing over there, and I was standing over here, so that means there is a chance that you did not see what I saw. That is fear and denial.
Fear and denial makes it necessary that we use communication to confirm that we shared an experience. So, then I ask, "Did you just see what I saw?" Now, that is communication and intuition has nothing to do with that...
Also, do you think intuition can be learnt and developed?
Intuition is the "act of being alive," as opposed to being a trait, quality, or characteristic.
That is to say, you do not need to be taught how to be "alive," but you may need to be socialized or cultured in order "to live dynamically."
Similarly, you do not need to be taught how to be intuitive, but shown how to be dynamically intuitive.
Most people seem to think it's something you either have, or you don't, but you can't develop it as a skill. Has your intuition developed over time?
Some people are inclined to be intuitive; and if being intuitive shows advantageous, it becomes a socially learned behavior, that gets used and honed as a skill.
Being psychic generally means being sensitive to subtle energies that do not register with the normal senses, and that happens naturally from some people. There are circumstances, which make whole groups of non-psychics be perceptive to subtle energies if the environment is conducive for that. Some people are condusive to experiencing subtle energies all the time, anywhere. In reality, we all experience subtle energies, just to certain degrees, which is being more or less sensitive. If you and a psychic are standing in a room, and the psychic sees a ghost, you may not see the ghost, but the hair may rise on the back of your neck.
So, in this way being intuitive gets confused with being psychic. Now, you can be taught how to tune into subtle energies by focussing to do this intentionally. That is a skill that can be learnt. Otherwise, people who tune into subtle energies without training are natural born psychics.
Am I a natural born psychic? Yes and no. I did not see dead people, until I decided I wanted to.
If I am in your house, and I sense the energy of a woman who has transitioned in that house, then I describe the feeling. If I want to see her, I just imagine in my mind what she would look like, if she were alive standing before me.
My intuition would show me through my imagination that she is wearing a flowered blouse with a long straight gray A-line skirt in the style with the 1950's with black heals, not too high, but with straps. I'd see in my imagination that she is dressed more like a librarian or teacher, maybe a secretary, or a stylish mom, maybe even a nanny. This is how I control what I perceive, unlike a natural born psychic, who is apt to see the same woman, without trying, without wanting to see - unfortunately that can be alarming and distractive.
In either instance, natural born or trained, through meditation the ability is brought under control.
