Mandatory Vaccines

Historically vaccines were created to control epidemics, and they worked! So, now infant-todler immunization is legally mandatory!
But still, it isn't cool that the government can take our civil liberties and define them for us, i.e. we do not have the right to choose...
This has happened before, and it happens now, except there is something different coming from the syringe.
Can you imagine that 'parents of days passed' protested when the government made standard childhood vaccinations mandatory?
Wouldn't you be appalled, if some mother sends her child to your community school infected with measles, mumps or rubella, because she refused to follow that mandate for reasons of right to choose?
Would it be fair, if the government forced women to breast feed their infants, so that immunity is passively acquired?
These are our realistic options. If we face these issues head on as informed constituents, then we are in a better position to co-create options, which affect our laws and shape medical protocol. We do not create options by reacting to policies, but we co-create options through proactive interaction with policy makers.
How do we find creative ways to encourage the industries to seek alternatives, when the bottom line drives a lot of agendas?
How can we be empowered to shift this emphasis from making a profit, when the 'public; has not been the best 'advocate' for 'public health and safety?'
The question is, "How do we become our own best advocates?"
Any suggestions....? Anyone....??
This is coming from a pharmacist who wants to see:
"The public be a better advocate for public health and well-being, instead allowing a bunch of elected officials be advocates for us, when they don't 'know' of any alternatives other than mandatory vaccines..."
(inspired by alternative health pod)
